Bio

While Jef has spent most of his life studying the arts, his intensive study spanned from 1994 to 2001 at the University of North Florida where he finished with a degree in mathematics and studio painting. Jef then moved to Nantes, France where he spent another two years studying at L’Ecole des Beaux Arts.

While in France Jef held two well received solo shows from which ten pieces of the Horizon series hang in a children’s hospital/school for the mentally impaired and several others hang in private collections throughout Europe. During his stay in France Jef also took part in a juried show where ninety-two artists from around the world submitted work on the theme Blue. “Horizon Bleu” which won first place was purchased and now hangs in a private collection. Since returning to the states in 2003 Jef has participated in several juried, solo and group shows, and won several awards.
